This single story building with high, pitched-roof and thick wooden support beams hints at a farm-style barn that has been restyled as a luxury apartment. With parquet flooring, wooden french sliding windows, shutters and bamboo clad ceilings the building has a history, evolving over several decades. Now the two rooms make up a bedroom/workspace and kitchen/dining/lounge area.
The apartment is nestled in next to the Melody House providing access to the entire property and looking out over the swimming pool onto the pecan orchard. The furniture and internal fittings have all been made specifically for these rooms by us giving the ensemble character and a unique design flare. With a bathroom attached to each of the two rooms the sleeper couches in the lounge area double as additional beds for children.
