With its high ceilings and spacious rooms, Melody Hill Retreat has the security and facilities of a private weekend villa. Offering a beautiful location to spend a few days throughout the year. Swimming pool and shady trees keeping you cool in summer, wood burning fireplaces and warm wooden floors - cosy in winter. The villa features a main house with two bedrooms, a large kitchen, scullery, lounge, dinning room, balcony and covered veranda. Adjoined to the main building are three more bedrooms, with another three located in an adjacent building and the yoga studio nearby. The villa overlooks the pecan-nut orchard, facing North-West along the Magalies River valley.
The country-house was designed and built using reclaimed wood and windows - moulded to the setting and the materials. What was originally a barn-style, family-farmhouse, has grown and evolved to suit the needs of the groups we host. It has been a wonderful journey, full of partnerships, friendships, memories and growing. With each new group, since we started hosting guests 15 years ago, Melody Hill Retreat has become more established as the perfect country-side retreat. Our regular guests and loyal clients will know that the venue is constantly improving and although rustic, there is something of a unique, personal touch that can be hard to fins elsewhere.

    Melody Hill Retreat can accomodate groups of up to 34 people sharing rooms.

    There are 8 en suite bedrooms that can comfortably sleep 3-5 people per room (sharing).

    A studio that is an ideal space for hosting meditation, yoga, dance and drama workshops, and can be furnished with tables for conferences.

     With an additional 2 therapy/massage rooms.

    Food

    We offer catering services (we can provide for mixed diets), specializing in vegan, vegetarian and raw food.

    Health

    Our facilities are geared towards activities (yoga, massage, meditation, etc.) that stimulate and rejuvinate the mind, body and soul.

    Accommodation

    The rooms and spaces offer a unique experience, for a confortable stay.

    Standard Rates:

    Self catering rate R495.00 pppn

    Groups sizes of 12-32 people sharing

    Full board (including catering) R880 pppn

    Catering (three meals per day) includes snacks & drinks, with a focus on wholesome, healthy, organic vegetarian food, sourced locally and prepared by our "healing through food" chefs.

    Please Note: - Above prices are for 2018.
    - Rates for 2019 will be subject to a 10% increase.
    - A 50% deposit is required for all bookings.
    - Viewings can usually be arranged on available weekdays.

    Services:

    Yoga classes can be arranged, to be held by Tejbir Kaur (hostess). Kahuna Massages at R550/hour or R700/1.5hours.

    Self-catering includes staff to clean dishes and the kitchen.

    If required Melody Hill bookings can include vegetarian catering staff to provide three meals a day. We will design a menu and budget per person (R385pp/day) for the chosen culinary layout. Snacks, tea, coffee and juices will be provided. The organic ingedients are all sourced locally and prepared by our proffessional chefs.

    Cell and internet reception peaks at 3G. Pay-as-you-go Wifi dongle is available.
